Tanith? ME?So today I went into the City Centre to get my hair extensions tightened. I was wearing my usual favourite outfit of: brown leather jacket, white vest top (in winter this becomes a jumper), jeans and brown leather boots. I had my hair done, then decided to go into the bookshop on the High Street. Of course I went straight to the section where they had Skulduggery Pleasant on sale (because I bought the limited edition version so I culd have the cards).
As I was walking up to the till I felt this tug on the corner of my jacket. I looked down to see these two kids, obviously related, one about six and the other about four. The eldest kid, a tiny little girl with mousy brown hair, looks up at me and asks (well, lisps) "Thcuse me Mith Low?"
It took me a while to realise, but these two kids ACTUALLY thought I was Tanith Low. Their mother had bought Skulduggery Pleasant and was reading it to them at bedtime. Given that I was dressed slightly like Tanith, and I have long blonde hair, and I was carrying the book, these midgets assumed I was Tanith.
Eventually their mother ran over and rescued me. BUT, on the plus side, I got to give out my first autograph today. Pity it wasn't my name I had to sign.
